The most useful scholarship advice doesn't come from a brochure, but gets passed around in person. It comes from a senior who tells you what the panel interview actually asked, or a friend's older sibling who explains why they chose one agency over another. If you were from a school where people applied for scholarships every year, or knew someone who'd applied for one, you picked a lot of this up without trying.
If you didn't, you were mostly stuck with official write-ups that told you what the process looked like from the outside. They don't tell you what it feels like to actually be sitting in the room. People who lose out on that difference are the ones with the smallest margin for error.
What we did
We interviewed Singaporean undergraduate and postgraduate scholars and asked each of them the same six questions. What we found was that advice for one scholarship doesn't always carry over to the next.
Which is why everything that you'll find here is in scholars' own words, so you can decide for yourself how much that advice would apply to you.
What this isn't
We're not a coaching service or an academic advisory — we don't charge for our services. Although this is built by scholars, it's not affiliated with any scholarship body or government agency. The opinions that you see here represent the scholars' own.
We also haven't tried to make the advice neat or consistent. Sometimes scholars disagree with one another, and we've left those disagreements in because they're real, and the right answer depends on your specific situation.

We're two Singaporean scholars who went through the process and thought there should be a better place to find honest information.
